It just does not cut it for me! May 22, 2010 GS (Dana Point, California United States) 1 out of 1 found this review helpful
I was really hoping this would do the job. I recently moved the location of my stereo and the wire antenna did not get my favorite radio station from the new location. The signal faded in and out with tons of static, so I thought this would magnify it enough....but not even close. Maybe the other wires nearby caused interference, but come on...how can you turn off your entire system so they do not interfere?!?!?! This is going back....and regardless of what the guy at Best Buy told me, I now know why there where so many open box amplified antenna's available.
Dipole antennas work great, but... November 1, 2009 Gregory S. Marsiglia (New Orleans, Louisiana United States) You will have a hard time improving on the performance of a wire loop or dipole antenna, so you do not need to spend much to obtain an excellent antenna. What you may get with the expense of an indoor amplified antenna is a more convenient antenna that does not take up the space of the wire and can be more easily reoriented. The included amplifiers are intended to compensate for the inferior performance. Adjust your expectations.
Solved my problem perfectly October 15, 2009 David Tiersten (New York, NY) 2 out of 2 found this review helpful
I work in an office in New York City. My favorite classical FM station switched to a new frequency with a weaker signal and I couldn't get it at all. I plugged in the TERK, turned up the gain and the station came in load and clear. The only downside is that, being in a hurry, it cost $60 with tax in Best Buy.
antenna review. September 12, 2009 John Jones (Freehold New Jersey) It brought in some am stations that i had trouble getting. It did okay but I thought it would be better. But, considering the building that I am in It works well.Thank You.
No help at all July 6, 2009 James Ferguson (Jupiter, Florida) 1 out of 1 found this review helpful
A simple drop down wire antenna supplied with my Polk radio does a better job than this amplified antenna. I spent a good hour trying various locations, placements and wire separations, all to no avail. An old boom box radio with a stick antenna picks up the signals better than this does.
As others have said, why would this company sell such a product?
