| Editorial Reviews:
Product Description The MRF-350 receives Narrow Band RF (radio frequency) signals via the RFX-250 RF Sensor (antenna module). The RFX-250 displays RF interference via a bright red LED which flickers when interference is present. Simply relocate the RFX-250 out of the interference area to resolve the problem. Note: This product is compatible with MX-3000, TX-1000, MX-950 and MX-900 remote controls only.

Poor documentation...flawless performance April 20, 2009 oliwa (Cincinnati, Ohio USA) I bought this device because I had 2 DirecTV receivers hooked up to the same TV and I had no other way to get them to work with UR MX-900.
I am NOT a professional installer, but I am very technically proficient and I set up my entire home theater by myself.
I thought the installation instructions were inaccurate. The manual says that if you are using only 1 receiver you can just plug it in with the headphone jack, but this is wrong. The receiver needs to be powered so I had to use the wire that you screwed onto the RF inputs. After I did that everything worked flawlessly!
Since I programmed my remote the first time I knew exactly where to go in to program to adjust the RF/IR for the devices.
I am very happy with this device and it has exceeded all of my expectations. I DO NOT recommend this for the novice, but if you can program the remote control by yourself this is a piece of cake.

Finally got this installed and we are having a blast using the system. It seems to be working flawlessly. Just in time for the holidays!

The base station, along with the mx850 remote, require the services of a professional installer unless your do-it-yourself skills are exceptionally advanced.
Universal Base Station August 17, 2008 D. Laslo 4 out of 4 found this review helpful
I had zero problems. I controlled this with an MX850 Universal remote and it worked perfectly the first time. The unit projects IR from the base unit itself if you want to point it at your setup or a mirror. It also comes with many high quality stick-on IR repeaters for cabinet installations.

Very user friendly. I got everything set up and working in less than 2 hours.
