 Great little antenna July 23, 2010

I bought this for a tv in the spare bedroom that doesn't have cable hook up. The room has large trees on both sides and still we get a perfect reception with this. It picks up all the local channels in perfect HD and a few bonus channels too. So happy this was recommended to my by Amazon or I never would have known it was out there. It's size is perfect also. I didn't want big rabbit ears an this fits perfectly behind the jewelry box and you can't even tell it's there so the dresser still has a sleek look to it.

I bought the rca antenna so can get a stronger digital signal than what I had before. I do not live far from the TV transmitters, maybe 10 miles away. I have only a couple of palm trees 25 feet high between the rca antenaa and the transmitters. I was getting a terrible signal before with a simple antenna wire attached to the walls. The picture would distort with blocking along with distorted sound. With the rca antenna the picture did improve with less blocking images and sound distortion, but I also lost 2 good channels and the T.V. is upstairs and for this reason I only gave it 3 stars.

If you have a weak signal already this is not for you. If you have interference from buildings, trees, hills... this is not for you.
But, it does work well and I like that I can hang it on the wall over the tv and out of the way.
I plan to buy a signal enhancer to try to pull in a better signal.
I am using this in my office at work and the tall buildings between me and the tower mess with it - but keep in mind that will be an issue no matter what antenea I get.
That said, I would recommend this product.

the reception and sound quality is good. It receives all the local channels and some international ones. thank u guys

Came incredibly fast!! 1,2,3 hookup - nothing to it; did it between commercials and BAM the picture was as clear as day!! Rescanned my channels and I'm getting a lot more channels too. I don't need anything else but this. I'm buying another one!!! I'm so pleased!!
