But be prepared to have to purchase it again (and AGAIN!) May 11, 2010 Barry Scheps 1 out of 1 found this review helpful
The operational aspect of this device is well thought-out:
1.-It can be programmed to remember the antenna's best direction for dozens of different channels
2.-Its remote-contol operation and digital directional-display especially handy and useful
!!! BUT:!!!
It's the most unreliable, short-lived electronic gizmo I've ever owned. I've had the "Channel Master" antenna motor (which HAS been fine...no problems) connected to this model controller box for about 8 years... AND I'VE HAD TO REPLACE THIS CONTROLLER BOX four.. count them: !FOUR TIMES in those years because of repeated malfunction (ALWAYS occurring after a local thunderstorm)! I understand the damaging force lightening can impose upon electronics, but none of my two TVs or two VCRs connected to the same antenna controlled by this device EVER experienced any failure during ANY of those controller-"frying" events (or subsequent to ANY local thunderstorm activity)!
So..should you buy this unit? If you already have the "Channel Master" motor rotating your roof antenna, I'd have to meekly say "yes" (but be prepared to have to buy it again within the next two years)!
Garbage February 24, 2009 Dogman (Illinois) Installed 8/09 The 9537 rotor and controller broke. This is senior owned, no kids playing with anything and (even though I don't feel like it)to be fair we were good till severe cold set in but we actually did not try to move anything during that below zero weather but when it got 25% and over we tried but all was dead. The good news is that I managed to use a pioneer cable box code and at least got controller operating. If I could have this review would have been starless.

This product is VERY HARD TO UNDERSTAND AND LEARN TO USE!
It might be good for the younger minds, but not for us OLD GEEZERS who liked the original Channel Master controllers!
Now if only they would make copies of the original controllers, that would get my vote for a better product!
This model "Sucks!"
Only a year July 30, 2008 D Martin 1 out of 1 found this review helpful
We upgraded our antennae, and rotator last summer. The control box didn't even last a year.
Channel Master Antenna Controller April 26, 2008 W. Kreamer (Hollywood, FL USA) 2 out of 2 found this review helpful
The antenna rotator controller does what it is supposed to do. I hope this item has a longer service life than the old one.
