4 out of 5 stars Decent antenna for the price.   January 2, 2010

I use this antenna in the living room on top of my TV in a one-story dwelling. Surrounding terrain is mostly flat farmland with some high trees. I live within 7 miles of all local towers and this antenna works good. Two of the stations are VHF and the other three stations are UHF. One thing to keep in mind is that if you are fairly close to a tower like I am you will overload the signal if you turn the built-in amplifier up too high. I have found that with this amp turned off or turned all the way up the channels will not come in. The sweet spot I found is turning it about 3/4 up. Luckily for me most stations are from the north to the west of me and I get all channels by leaving the dipoles pointed north and the UHF loop pointed northwest. You just need to experiment and find where the best setting is for your location. I didn't rate this antenna higher because sometimes on windy days certain channels will drop out on me, but I also have a Phillips SDV6122 in the bedroom and that one does the same thing.

1 out of 5 stars This piece of JUNK is not recommended!   February 21, 2008

I must say that this Anntenna isn't worth the money. I purchased one of these for my TV from a local branch of Target about a month ago. The antenna cost about $20.00, but it gets the poorest reception of any antennas I have ever tried. Not only does it get lousy reception on the VHF channels, but it also gets no reception whatsoever on some of the UHF channels. The antenna has a built in amplifier and comes with an AC Adapter to power the amplifier, but tht amplifier does no good. The amplifier actually makes reception worse when switched on. Don't waste your money on this piece of junk!
